Picture Palace Campaign Request for Support -Come on the Campaign Coaches and show your support at the Bromley Planning Committee 7pm Thursday 17 December

Dear Friends of the Picture Palace Campaign,
After such a fantastic show of support at the Queens Hotel in October, we are asking everyone who volunteered their details and gave offers of help, if you could come and show your support again please at the Planning Committee to be held at Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley BR1 3UH on Thursday 17 December starting at 7pm.

Yes, decision time is here, and if we are to keep our vision of a cinema returning to Crystal Palace alive then we need to first ensure that the D2 leisure use at 25, Church Road is retained.

The Bromley planning officer’s report recommends refusal which is fantastic news but ultimately the decision whether to refuse lies with the members of the planning committee on the evening so nothing can be taken for granted. Refusal is not a foregone conclusion – a good showing of local support on the night will help to focus members’ minds.

We know it is a lot to ask in the run up to Christmas but we have tried to make it easier for you to attend by hiring 3 coaches with return/single seats for a lucky 150 people.

Tickets are £4 return, £3 single (we know some of you will come straight from work but will want a lift back) and £2 unwaged.

Tickets are available now from Bookseller Crow, Westow Street and Bambino, Church Road  and will be sold on a first come first served basis or to book your place phone 07956 323 164.

The coaches will be leaving at 5.30pm sharp from the Number 3 bus stop on the Crystal Palace Parade just before the Crystal Palace bus station.

At the moment we are not sure what time the application will be on the agenda but we have been informally advised that due to the enormous amount of interest it is likely to be first.

Expected return time, we hope, will be no later than 9pm although that cannot be guaranteed.

Hope to see you on the campaign coaches on Thursday 17 December!

Kind regards,

Annabel Sidney

  1. Hi,

I’ve set up a Facebook group to get people to vote for Grangewood Park in Thornton Heath to win funding from the ‘Parks to be proud of’ competiton.

If you could publicise it on here, that would be great.

    Thanks.
